Our baby is finally here! Long time comin.

We couldn't be happier. She was due Feb 4th, and I was ready to pop. Jordan was so anxious to get her out as well...so he made me try many things.

I got my fill on pineapple for the next three months.

I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed all the floors.

I bounced on an exercise ball.

We walked all over the neighborhood, me waddling along.

Apparently one of those crazy things worked.

Wednesday morning (Feb 1st), I went to my scheduled doctor appointment. I was 39 1/2 weeks pregnant and done with this 40 week contract. My doctor examined me and said I was dialated to a 4+ and 90% effaced. We went home, wondering when this baby was going to come out. As soon as we got home, I started having intense lower back pains- but not really any pains in my stomache or front area. I didn't know how serious it really was, so I called labor & delivery. They suggested I come in since I tested positive for Strep B and just in case I were to go into labor, they wanted me to get the antibiotics for that in time.

I really wasn't too nervous, and didn't think this was actually it. We even stopped at the Verizon store on the way to the hospital to get Jordan's broken phone checked out first. After I got the hospital and they checked me, the nurse came in and said "call your mom! You're stayin!" I couldn't believe it was finally time to have the baby.

They moved me to the delivery room, got me my epidural, then we played the waiting game. We were so lucky to have both our parents (who each live 4-5 hrs away) to make it in time to see Saylor be born. I pushed for about a half hour- with everyone screaming around me to "PUSH!"

Saylor was born at 9:57pm. She was 8lbs 12oz.

I still can't believe how big she was!

I am so grateful for all my family who has been here to support us and this new life. My mom has helped SO much- I don't know how I could have survived this week without her. She just left today and I am scared to death to be on my own during the day with Saylor...but I will do my best.
