Mehhiko

Where were we for the past week? Oh we were on a cruise. We went on the Carnival Splendor down the Mexican Riviera. It was fun and a niiice break from reality. Seriously, it's hard to get back into life.
What? I have to COOK meals!? I have to go grocery shopping?
Are we moving? Yeah, I think we still are.
Can we still forget everything and go lay out?
Where's the ocean?
Where did all these clocks come from!? (Seriously, we NEVER knew what time it was. The only clock we ever could find was in military time. I know, what??)
What's our itinerary for the day?
Where are our dinner friends? :(
See? Hard to adjust. Even after just one week.

Sunday:
We waited in a huge line. Huge line to go through all the security and get onto the ship. We got on around 2pm and they had lunch ready for us. We took off a couple hours later. We got settled and got to know the ship.
Monday:
At sea. We lied around, swam, ate...ate...and ate.
Tuesday:
Reached Cabo San Lucas. Jordan and I wanted to go to the beach, so we walked around dodging ALL the "Cabo residents" bombarding us with their items they were all trying to sell. It was interesting. Because Jordan and I are not completely familiar with Cabo, our trip to the beach ended up being about a 5 mile walk around the island- lost. We FINALLY found it...totally on the other side of where we were docked. But we made it! We chilled at the beach for the day then went back to our ship and ate our hearts out.
Wednesday:
Our ship was supposed to go to Mazatlan this day- but since it's too dangerous at this time...we stayed in Cabo another day. Jordan and I decided just to hang out on the boat. We lied around, went to a comedy show, swam, etc.
Thursday:
We got to Puerto Vallarta in the morning. We walked around the port, again being bombarded with Mexican sellers. We found a booth where we could buy a 4-wheeling trip for the day. We went 4-wheeling in the jungle to a hidden waterfall. After that they took us to a tequila factory where they showed us how they make it. We got asked several times if we wanted a drink which we obviously turned down. They would ask us why...and all we would have to say is that we're from Utah- then they got the point. "Oh you're a Mormon!" they would say.
Friday:
At sea, on our journey back to Long Beach. We went to a show called the Married Show. It was hilarious. I gambled which was a huge disaster. More laying out, stuffing our faces, and relaxing.
Saturday:
Waaay sick. The boat was definitely rocking (from the waves...come on). Jordan got more sick than I did, but it was pretty bad. Luckily we got better as the day went on. We didn't do much, just hung out and ate more. We got all packed again to leave Sunday morning.

Every night we had a nice dinner at the same table in a restaurant called The Golden Pearl. You can order whatever, and however much of it you wanted. On average we got 1-2 appetizers, 1 main course, and 2-3 desserts a night. We met some friends at our table who were really cool. One couple was even from St. George.
Everyday from 5pm-8pm the sushi place would be open. You could get in line and get as much sushi as you wanted. Can you guess how much we ate? Yeah- insane.

Here are some pics.

  1. I'm so jealous! DIsney only has two clocks (i'm pretty sure) total for guests to see. It's so you forget about the outside world completely. No newspaper, tv, or time. :)
